iverside Regional Park Foundation
The mid 1990s brought budget challenges for the City of Indianapolis, as it related to parks and recreation. In 1993, as recommended by City of Indianapolis Department of Parks & Recreation, the Riverside Regional Park Foundation Inc, formally known as The Riverside Advisory Council, was established. Founded by concerned Riverside community residents, the Riverside Regional Park Foundation is now a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization.
The focus of the Riverside Regional Park Foundation centers on providing assistance to the Riverside Regional Park with programming, and fund development initiatives as it relates to both the park and family center.
Our mission is to offer volunteer and supplemental financial support to enhance and endorse quality recreational services and programs at Riverside Park and Family Center.
Our vision is to be an ongoing sponsor and advocate to Riverside Regional Park in its effort to reach their full programming potential as a place.
The Riverside Regional Park Foundation volunteer board of directors in made up community residents and business professionals that value the rich history of Riverside Park and have a sincere affection for the well-being of its community, park and park users.
